New to the series?

Here are four ways in.

Christianity Unearthed runs long. Over 200 episodes are planned across five historical Ages. You do not have to begin at the beginning of history. You can begin where the argument becomes sharpest.

Option 1 - Recommended

Begin with the central problem.

Start with Season 2, Episode 0. It opens Age II with the thesis of the whole season.

The Beginning: Before Christianity Became One Religion. Before 313 CE, multiple Christianities existed side by side. No single version had yet become dominant. This opening episode begins there - before the filter, before the smoothing, before the later memory of inevitability. It reads the seams inside the texts not as embarrassment, but as evidence of a world that had not yet been made to agree.

Option 2

Begin with the overture.

Start with Season 1, Episode 0 - a wide-angle introduction to all five Ages.

Christianity Unearthed - A History of the Judeo-Christian World. This opening episode widens the frame. It locates Christianity not as the beginning of the story but as one phase within a much longer inheritance shaped across thousands of years. It lays out the five-Age structure of the series.

Option 3

Begin with a place.

Season 1 is organized city by city: Jerusalem, Antioch, Ephesus, Alexandria, Egypt, Africa, Rome. If one of those interests you, start there.

Option 4

Begin with a book.

Season 2 examines the early Christian texts one by one. If one of them interests you, start there.
